OTTO publishes Sustainability Report 2025

How does international labour mobility contribute to employment, prosperity and opportunities? And how can we ensure this is done responsibly?

These questions are at the heart of OTTO Work Force’s Sustainability Report 2025, covering the year 2025. The report shows why OTTO exists, the impact we aim to make and how we take responsibility for that impact.

For OTTO, sustainability is not an obligation or a stand-alone programme. It is an integral part of the way we do business. We believe that work helps people move forward. That is why we look beyond simply meeting staffing needs. We take responsibility for the full impact of our services on employees, clients, communities and society.

Raymond Puts CEO:

In this report, we show how we put our promise, “We take care of our people”, into practice. Not only for the more than 15,000 international employees who work through OTTO, but also for our clients, partners, communities and society as a whole.

The report shows how OTTO puts our promise, “We take care of our people”, into practice. From fair employment, good housing and safe working conditions to integration, development, financial security and sustainable employability. It also shows how international labour mobility, when organised responsibly, contributes to economic growth, helps address labour shortages and supports prosperity.

Labour migration is an important societal issue. The public debate often focuses on situations where things go wrong. That is precisely why we believe it is important to be transparent about what is going well, what we are proud of, but also about the challenges that remain and the improvements that are still needed. Transparency is one of our core values and is essential to maintaining the trust of employees, clients and society.

The Sustainability Report 2025 shows that OTTO has taken important steps as an employer, as an organiser of housing through housing partners and as a responsible member of society. At the same time, the report openly acknowledges that further progress depends on collaboration with clients, governments, industry associations and other stakeholders.

The report also marks an important step in our preparations for the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). OTTO already reports in accordance with the European ESRS standards and is working towards full CSRD compliance for its reporting on 2027.

In the report, you can read about:
  • How OTTO provides employment for more than 15,600 international employees from 75 nationalities.
  • How we invest in fair employment, income security, safety, training and development.
  • Our vision on responsible employment, housing and international labour mobility.
  • The contribution international employees make to the Dutch economy and to their countries of origin.
  • How we are working to reduce CO₂ emissions and achieve our ambition of becoming climate-neutral by 2050.
  • How OTTO puts good governance, transparency and corporate social responsibility into practice.
  • The key ESG results and sustainability objectives for 2025.
The Sustainability Report 2025 provides a comprehensive picture of where OTTO stands today, the impact we make and our ambitions for the future. Because impact requires responsibility, and responsibility starts with transparency.
